About Jasmyn
Hi, I'm Jasmyn — an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and qualified gymnastics coach based in Toowong, Brisbane.
I hold a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, graduating in 2022, and have been working in the paediatric disability and neurodiversity space since 2019. Before completing my degree, I worked as an allied health assistant in paediatric allied health clinics and ran group disability sports programs — so by the time I qualified as an AEP, I already had years of hands-on experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Sensory Processing Disorder.
My path into paediatric EP wasn't accidental. I started coaching gymnastics at 13 — it was my first job, and it never really stopped feeling like a calling. Over twelve years of coaching, I developed a deep passion for designing movement programs that are adaptive, inclusive, and genuinely fun. During my university placements I worked across many areas of exercise physiology, but I always found myself most energised working with children — helping them achieve things they didn't think they could do, and supporting the families navigating what can be a really challenging journey.
I still coach gymnastics alongside my EP work, and I believe that background shapes everything about how I run sessions. Movement should feel like play, not therapy. Kids build real strength, coordination, and confidence — they just don't always know that's what's happening.
What keeps me going? Hearing that a child jumped into a school sport they'd previously avoided. That they tried something new and loved it. That a parent cried happy tears on the way home. I'm a passionate advocate for inclusion and access to sport — I believe physical activity should be enjoyable and accessible for every child, regardless of ability, diagnosis, or starting point.
Sessions are held in a dedicated gymnastics hall at Brisbane Boys College, Toowong — a spacious, purpose-built space that's a world away from a clinical waiting room.
